Leading up to the HOME | LAND exhibition, Tel Aviv based artist Hagai Farago sat down with curator Michelle Azout to speak about art, Zionism, the war and the bond between Israelis and Jews living abroad.
HF: Let’s get right into it - what was the impetus for “HOME | LAND”?
MA: After the war, I made it a priority to support Israeli artists by being more mindful and deliberate in purchasing their art for my projects (something I had always done but not with this level of intentionality). It inspired me to start thinking about how I could share more of this fantastic work with a broader audience.
